(Continued from "Community Update" on the "Home" page): Mr. Potter also highlighted that the board may be in violation of Shoreline school board policies 3130/3130P (Attendance Areas) and 1710 (Responsibilities of the Board). He also offered "middle ground" suggestions: 1) keeping the magnet Hi Cap services at Ridgecrest, in addition to adding one kindergarten class; 2) "grandfathering" the existing magnet students at Ridgecrest while "pressing pause" on the consolidation to address the complying with policies 3130 and 1710, and vacating the 11/4/18 board vote. Mr. Potter's messages will be entered into the meeting's records and minutes. We hope to learn of "next steps" by our school administration in the near future. A parent meeting with Superintendent Rebecca Miner may be scheduled during the week of 11/25/19. More updates to follow!
